Limerick Scout County is located in the Mid-West of Ireland. Our County has 22 groups, making it the largest scout county in Ireland.

The county was formed on January 1st 2004 along with the new national scouting association of Ireland, Scouting Ireland. The County is made up of the old Cois Sionna and John Paul Regions of Scouting Ireland (CSI) and the old Tirarmore District of Scouting Ireland (SAI). The County is part of the Southern Province and the provincial newsletter, Woggle Talk, the provinical newsletter is available to download from the resources page here.

The county has a section every week in the Limerick Independent entitled "Scouting Limerick" which has information on upcoming events in the county and also news and reports on past county and group events. The county badge was designed by Doris Ryan of Shannonbanks and the county flag is currently available for groups to hire.
